    What is DELTA®-DRY?

    DELTA®-DRY is a dual-chambered, ventilated rainscreen membrane made from high-density polyethylene (HDPE). In plain terms, it creates a continuous, open air-space behind your cladding so water can drain out and moisture can dry quickly. That air-space also acts as a capillary break—it stops liquid water from wicking into your wall sheathing.

    Technical: A three-dimensional profile forms dual chambers, creating interior and exterior air-gaps. This enables two-sided drainage and continuous ventilation while establishing a capillary break between cladding and sheathing.
    Layman’s terms: The bumpy sheet holds the siding off the wall, leaving tiny channels so water can escape and fresh air can move—helping the wall stay dry and healthy.

    Best-fit applications

    Use DELTA®-DRY behind stucco, adhered stone veneer, fiber-cement, wood siding, and other moisture-absorbing claddings. It’s especially valuable in wet or humid climates, high-exposure façades, coastal conditions, or where solar-driven moisture is a concern.

    Installation keys (field-friendly overview)

    1. Prep & sequencing: Install your code-approved WRB first. Flash transitions (e.g., sheathing-to-foundation) shingle-fashion with a drip edge.
    2. Roll orientation: Unroll DELTA®-DRY horizontally with the identification stripe facing out and running level.
    3. Fastening: Secure along studs where possible, typically at the stripe, up to 24″ o.c. Add fasteners at end/side laps (~12″ o.c.).
    4. Do not interlock: Place side/end laps tight to the adjacent roll—no interlocking. Keep the cavity continuous.
    5. Vent at top & bottom: Provide clear ventilation/bug screen at base and at the top termination (or at least every two stories).
    6. Details matter: Fit snug to openings; use compatible flashings and accessories per manufacturer guidance.
